What information we collect

When you create your NPPC member account, we require basic information from you, including your name, organization and a valid email account. You have the option to provide additional information including your job title and geographic location. This personal information, or Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is information about a member that could be used alone or with other information to personally identify someone; this may include full name, email address, Internet Protocol (IP) address, user photo, login name, etc.

PII does not include aggregated, non-personally identifying information (e.g., web user trends and activity), which may be used to operate and/or optimize our website.

The information and data that was collected about your organization’s practices via the member enrollment process is kept confidential and used only by NPPC/Center for Youth Wellness to inform program development. Aggregate data may be displayed on the NPPC member website as part of collaborative learning. In addition, your contact information may be used to share information and news relevant to the topic area and the purpose of this practice community.

Why do we collect personal information?

We need this basic information to create your NPPC member account, identify you on nppcacesmembers.org, and to communicate with you. The information in your user profile is shared with other NPPC members on the website for the purposes of member communication/dialogue and networking.

We only use the personal information you have submitted for the purposes outlined in this privacy notice. If there is a need to use your personal information for other purposes, we will first ask your permission. You can always see what personal information we have, as it is what you have given us in your member profile.

Surveys

From time-to-time our site may request information via surveys. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and you may choose whether or not to participate and therefore disclose this information. Information requested may include information about your organization’s practices or your opinion. Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site.

We use “cookies” on this website. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor’s hard drive to help us improve your access to our site and identify repeat visitors to our site. For instance, when we use a cookie to identify you, you would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information on our site.

NPPC/Center for Youth Wellness are the sole owners of the information collected on nppcacesmembers.org. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via the enrollment process, through email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

Access to and control over your information

You can change your NPPC member profile data at any time. You also may opt out of any future communications from us or do any of the following at any time by contacting us via the Contact Us form on our website:

  • See what data we have about you, if any
  • Change/correct data we have about you
  • Ask us to delete data we have about you
  • Express concerns about our use of your data

There are links from the NPPC website to other sites and resources provided by third parties. This Privacy Notice applies only to the NPPC website. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these other sites. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our site and to read the privacy statements of these other sites. CYW will not retaliate against you if you file a complaint.
